Bonjour a tous!
La suite de nos aventures a Bali. Je me trouve face a un petit probleme: apres avoir trie les photos et enleve celles de mauvaises qualites, il me reste encore 420 photos de Bali. Cela me fait 10 entrees a 40 photos chacunes ou bien je laisse tomber 75% de nos photos. -___-

Ci-contre la piscine de notre hotel bien sympatique.

Welcome back to our Bali adventures. Well, after skimming out the obviously poor quality pics, we are still left with about 420 shots. Ah! Joys of digital cameras. Don't worry, we won't share all 420 of them, but just about 20-25% over the next few entries.

Ubud

Comme indique lors de notre derniere entree, Ubud est le centre artistique de Bali. Sculpteurs & peintres en tout genre y vendent leurs produits a des prix tres raisonnables.


As mentioned in our last entry, Ubud is the cultural center of Bali. If you want to find reasonably priced paintworks or sculptures, Ubud is definitely worth spending time.

Le marche d'Ubud est relativement rigolo: vous y trouverez tout et n'importe quoi. Le prix de depart pour le touriste est generalement majore d'environs 150% (donc 2.5 fois le prix normal). A vous de tester vos capacites de negotiateurs!


Ubud's market is sparkling with Life, and a great place to find handmade items. You'll find anything from handwoven chairs, boxes, clothes to paintings & drawing, musical boxes, women's bags, shoes, soaps, sculptures (wood & stones). The starting price is usually overpriced by 150% (so 2.5X the regular price).. Quite fun to test your negotiation skills.


On y trouve aussi des objets un peu, hum, etranges... Peut-etre un souvenir pour belle maman?

You'll find also that gift that will appeal to that "special someone". Humm..
"Auntie, I brought you a little something back from Bali.."

Le marche mis a part, quelques temples assez amusants (qui m'ont apparement inspires)..






Apparement certains ont l'air de trouver le temps long..

Looks like some of the inhabitants are a bit bored..

Babi Guling

Comment passer a Ubud sans essayer le meilleur Babi Guling du coin.
Le babi Guling est une sorte de Mechouis de Porcelet, servi avec une sauce epaisse d'herbes et d'epices.
Un vrai regal.. a moins de 2.5 Euros la portions..




It would be a crime to stop by Ubud withtout trying the famous Babi Guling, one of the best in Bali.
Babi Guling is a roasted suckling pig, served with a thick mix of herbs and spices. Absolutelly fantastic.. and only S$4-5! (US$3.5)
